I have been taking piano lessons with Joe for a little over a year now. I have had a wonderful experience and would most definitely continue my lessons with Joe however I am leaving the state. I am learning piano as an adult and Joe has been very patient. He has done a great job of meeting me where I am at while still holding me accountable. He has made the learning process enjoyable. I also value how he incorporates music theory into the lessons and emphasizes strong fundamentals, taking the time to teach concepts thoroughly and correctly. It has been 50 years since playing any musical instruments, and I have restarted piano and voice with Joe. Good call! The lessons breeze by, and practicing at home has been just challenging enough. I can see real change and progress from song to song, week to week. It is so nice to be able to express myself musically again! Only a few months in, I believe I will reach one of my first goals by December: to play and sing holiday songs with family and friends. After that? Joe is open to any direction and totally capable of helping me get there. I highly recommend Joe!

I directed a production of Elf, Jr. the Musical for students ranging from grades 3 to 12. Joe was the music director for the production. I’ve never worked with a more consummate and dedicated professional. He took on an educator’s approach and it was one of the most amazing experiences to see these students grow from their auditions to the performances. Kids that started with no confidence walked on the stage with the gravitas and conviction of seasoned performers. Joe helped them find their voice and instilled them with that confidence. I couldn’t recommend him more highly as a music director, educator, vocalist or coach. I’m considering taking lessons from him myself!
